Feeling crafty

I guess I should clarify that I am not feeling sly/crafty :). I'm in the mood for crafts! I went through a bunch of my craft books over the weekend, and got really motivated. I haven't cross stitched in years, and I actually really miss doing it. I found this pattern above that was in a cross stitch magazine. If you click on the picture you can enlarge it. I thought it looked so cute, so I want to make it for my kitchen. It has a Bible verse on it, which I love. I haven't ever cross stitched something with this much detail before, so I think it will be fun.

I found this super soft variegated yarn shortly after Christmas. I LOVE the color. It has a bit of lavender, teal, and other beautiful colors in it. I want to knit an afghan out of it. I have never made an afghan before, so I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Oh - that's "Homespun"! I love that yarn. And I plan to make an afghan with it too... though am not sure what color yet. And it probably won't happen until next winter or the one after that - lol. You'll love working with that yarn though; it's very soft and has such a nice "hang" to it. :)

Love the cross-stitch. I have one on the go at the moment, plus a few quilts, and plan to knit as soon as the weather turns cooler. Keeps life interesting. Looking forward to seeing what you make.

Hi April! Isn't the Homespun yarn great? I have made several scarfs with it, and I love it. So soft! I'm not sure I am going to be wanting to work on an afghan during warm weather, so I had better start it soon!

Hi Jules! I didn't realize how much I missed cross stitching! It has been fun getting back into it. I bet your projects are looking beautiful :).

Daisy, I can't get over how fast you are at crocheting! I was looking at your newest afghan you are working on. Girl, you are so quick at that! It is looking beautiful! I will post a picture when I finish with my crafts, but I can tell you that I am not as quick as you are!

Hi Kathryn, and thank you! I haven't started the afghan yet. I am working on the cross stitch right now, and it has been fun!
