We had a wonderful weekend as a family. Jeff actually had to do some business while we were there, and was basically having to just be there in case something goes wrong. Because of that, the trip was completely paid for by the company. You can't beat that! We stayed in a very nice motel. I have never been to one like it. Our room was on the main level, and it walked out into a courtyard where the pool was, and where tables were, and it was all inside with big glass windows. It was really pretty. The first day there, we let Evie swim in the pool quite a bit. She was like a little fish, and swam for hours. We were bummed to find out later that she broke out from neck to toe with a really bad rash from the pool. So she is now allergic to chlorine. We knew she was allergic to bromine, but thought she was okay with chlorine. Obviously not. Thankfully we were able to go to the beach on Saturday and Sunday, so she swam in the water. The waves were big on Sunday, and it was SO windy. Evie loved the waves, but we had to be careful not to let her go too far out because the undertow was pretty bad.
We tried to eat outside as much as possible, and were able to eat at several outdoor eateries. The
weather was too beautiful to be cooped up inside! We were surprised at how many dogs people had with them. Evie was constantly asking people is she could pet their dogs. It was fun! I love animals, so I was petting them right along with her :). There is even a doggie bed and breakfast in town, where people can come and stay with their dogs. Jeff and I would love to do that next time. Sierra would love that. We came home Sunday afternoon, and relaxed the rest of the day. It was a nice, and fun weekend!
